Hello world!

This is wonderful!  I’m so glad to have the opportunity to blog with fellow herbal and essential oil enthusiasts.  I’ve been ‘down’ a long time.  My computer got smashed by a large, heavy falling object and the recovery process took much longer than expected.  Then, while it was down, we decided to switch hosting servers, and the learning curve began all over again!  However, we are back and ready to continue helping my family (and anyone else that wants to) learn about herbs and oils.

Funny story.  Last week, Emily was out helping to harvest the eggs on a neighbor’s farm.  They have a chicken that is quite aggressive and likes to peck holes in the eggs in the nest.  Well, to combat this the farmer had placed several wooden eggs in the nest to help alleviate the problem.  Emily didn’t know this.  The faux eggs look just like the real ones, so she collected them.  She did the float test on the eggs to see if they were good.  Well, the wooden ones floated, so she threw them away.  We laughed and laughed.  I wonder what would have happened to her sensibilities if she had tried to crack one open?
