Ledum – Labrador Tea

Did you know…?

…that Ledum plants helped protect the native people of North america against scurvy for more than 5,000 years?
…that Ledum plants are used as a general tonic, to treat a variety of kidney-related problems?
…that this strongly aromatic herb is used as a tea by the native folks of Eastern Canada?
…that it is known as “Labrador Tea”? It is beautiful, grows wild all over North America.

If you’d like to see a map of where it is ‘native’; go to :

They have wonderful maps there showing where these plants grow naturally. I did have to look elsewhere for better pictures, though :)
