Why We Are….

Herbs n’ Oils have long been used in my family, but they gained heightened importance for me when they consistently saved my daughter’s life these past three years.  The doctors didn’t know what was wrong with her, and various “let’s try this medicine” routines have harmed her health.

We use essential oils and herbs now to help her lungs function properly; and they do better with essential oils than with any other ‘modern’ medicine we have tried; and there are no side-effects.  She is regaining her health, vitality, and her happiness.

And so began my journey into the deeper realms of education involving essential oils.  As I began to study oils, one of the first things I came across was the concept of ‘Notes’.  Now, being a hobby barbershop singer, I was familiar with over-tones and under-tones, etc.  I had no idea those words applied to oils, smells, and evaporative times. I found it fascinating.  Hence, my interest in this ‘noteworthy’ website to assist others in discovering the incredible world that is: essential oils..

Who We Are….

Diana Catlin:  Just a little while ago (July 2010), my daughter Natalia came to me with a gift.  It gave me such a lift.  Sometimes you get to thinking you just shouldn’t say anything, ever, anymore-because teenagers don’t listen to you very often.  (And besides, who REALLY wants to listen to you talk about the joys of herbal medicine, or tincture making?….) Then, they bring you a gift, and you realize you are doing o.k., and that they were listening-they just didn’t know how to tell you about it when they were struggling to find themselves.   She brought tears to my eyes, and gratitude to my heart with a plaque that read: “My Mother did not tell me how to live… She Showed Me!”  My children tend to bring me this message from time to time, and it gives me heart to continue.  My daily prayer for my readers is that they will LIVE their dreams too.
